The Diocese of Erie Information Bulletin advertises and promotes activities and events sponsored by diocesan entities such as parishes, schools, religious communities and groups. The IB is unable to advertise or promote activities or events not sponsored by such entities. Submissions may run a maximum of two editions. The administrative offices of the diocese reserve the right to edit submissions.

The Office for Divine Worship presents a monthly newsletter to aid in preparing celebrations that will occur in that particular month. The May newsletter is attached.

Life in the Spirit Seminar
Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 100 Penn Ave., Mercer, will host a Life in the Spirit Seminar on Thursday and Friday, May 7 and 8, from 7 to 9 p.m. This seminar offers an opportunity to grow in a deeper relationship with God through the power of the Holy Spirit and includes talks, prayer, praise and worship. There is no cost to attend; a free-will offering will be accepted. Registration is requested at https://ihmercer.org/ComeHolySpirit. Erie March for Life
The annual Erie March for Life will be held on Saturday, May 2, at Perry Square in downtown Erie. Clearfield Rosary March
The Clearfield St. Francis chapter of the World Apostolate of Fatima invites the faithful to the 49th annual Rosary March at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds, 5615 Park St., Clearfield. The procession will begin inside the Expo I Building with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, followed by an outdoor Rosary and Eucharistic procession. The program will include the crowning of the Erie Diocesan Pilgrim Statue and Benediction.

Quo Vadis Days
Quo Vadis Days is a four-day priesthood discernment camp for Catholic men entering grades 9–12 this fall, as well as recent high school graduates who are considering the priesthood, seminary formation or a religious vocation. The camp will be held June 28–July 1, 2026, at St. Mark Seminary in Erie. Faith on Fire Upcoming Events

  • Power for Every Mission Field

On Saturday, May 9, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Bread of Life Parish, 147 W. 24th St., Erie, Sr. Rita D’Souza of The Ark and the Dove (Pittsburgh) will share her experiences of God’s power in mission fields both near and far. She served in Mexico for 10 years and has participated in multiple mission trips to Africa, and currently serves as administrator of The Ark and the Dove Worldwide. Worship will be provided by Harmony House, with lunch to follow in the community center.

  • Healing Mass

A Healing Mass will be held on Monday, May 11, at 6:15 p.m. at St. Joseph Bread of Life Parish, 147 W. 24th St., Erie. The celebrant will be Fr. Steve Schrieber, with individual prayer following Mass. See attached flyer for more information.

Annual Rummage Sale at St. Hippolyte
Saint Hippolyte Parish, located on Route 27 in Frenchtown (7 miles east of Meadville and 20 miles west of Titusville), will host an indoor garage and bake sale in the church social hall. The sale will take place on Thursday, April 30, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with reduced prices on Friday, and “Bag Day” on Saturday, May 2, from 8 a.m. to noon. A wide selection of clean, gently used items will be available, including furniture, small appliances, books, household items, clothing and toys. All items are newly offered, with nothing held over from last year. Baked goods, food and refreshments will be available for purchase. All proceeds benefit Saint Hippolyte Church.


Piano available
A parishioner from Epiphany of the Lord, Meadville, is offering a Kohler & Campbell upright piano for donation. It is in very good condition. For more information, call Steve at 814-853-6170.
