The deadline for submissions is Thursday, Aug. 11, at 4:30 p.m.
The Diocese of Erie Information Bulletin advertises and promotes activities and events sponsored by diocesan entities such as parishes, schools, religious communities and groups. The IB is unable to advertise or promote activities or events not sponsored by such entities. Submissions may run a maximum of two editions. The administrative offices of the diocese reserve the right to edit submissions.

Next Eucharistic Revival event planned for October
Bishop Lawrence Persico has announced the next Eucharistic Revival event in the Diocese of Erie. In the attached letter to the priests of the diocese, the bishop directs that the weekend of Oct. 15-16 be observed as a Diocesan Eucharistic Sunday in place of the 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time. Samuel Group offered to young adults discerning their futures
The Vocation Office and the Office of Faith Formation for Young Adult and Youth Ministry will again host the Samuel Group, a discernment group for young adults ages 20 to 30. The Samuel Group is a seven-month journey that includes monthly gatherings at Erie’s St. Mark Catholic Center, spiritual direction, prayer, talks, small group discussion and accompaniment. The goal is for each participant to grow in self-knowledge and to hear and respond to God’s call with an open heart. SSJs invite everyone to celebrate National Farmers Market Week
The Sisters of St. Joseph Neighborhood Network encourages the public to join its organization today, Aug. 8, to celebrate National Farmers Market Week at the Little Italy Farmers Market, 331 W. 18th St., Erie. The market runs every Monday from 3 to 6 p.m. through the end of September, but there will be additional activities today. Fresh produce is available and there is a dollar-for-dollar match for SNAP/WIC/senior produce vouchers, thanks to a grant secured by the Sisters of St. Joseph Neighborhood Network.
Zabawa celebrates Polish heritage
Holy Trinity Parish in Erie will host Zabawa, a three-day celebration of its Polish heritage, on the parish grounds at E. 23rd and Reed streets Aug. 26-28. Festivities include authentic Polish foods, bakery items and beverages, live polka music and dancing. A Polka Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Aug. 27, at 5 p.m. with Bishop Lawrence Persico officiating. A Polish heritage Mass featuring the Holy Trinity choir is scheduled for Aug. 28 at 10:30 a.m. There will be a grand raffle, theme baskets, a festival auction and more. Pipe organ available for sale
St. John the Evangelist Parish in Girard is offering for sale an Opus 682 pipe organ. Price is negotiable. Manufactured in 1946 by the Tellers Organ Company, the organ works but needs repairs to the stops on the keyboard. The system could be repaired or used for parts.
