The Diocese of Erie Information Bulletin advertises and promotes activities and events sponsored by diocesan entities such as parishes, schools, religious communities and groups. The IB is unable to advertise or promote activities or events not sponsored by such entities. Submissions may run a maximum of two editions. The administrative offices of the diocese reserve the right to edit submissions.

Parish budget preparation
All pastors/administrators and parish business managers will find attached a letter from the Office of Financial Services regarding the 2022-2023 parish budgets. Also attached are three other documents that include the assessments, budget preparation information, and the priests’ salary scale.
Pastors, parish secretaries asked to update livestream Mass information
The Communications Office of the Diocese of Erie continues to update its resources related to COVID-19 through a tile available on the diocesan homepage at www.ErieRCD.org. In addition, pastors and parish secretaries are invited to regularly visit the listing of livestream parish Masses found at https://www.eriercd.org/livestreammass.html. If times or links have changed, or if your parish is not listed and would like to be, please send details to Rich Papalia, webmaster, at RPapalia@ErieRCD.org.
Seminar on moral injury and suicide
The Clergy Office of the Diocese of Erie has been contacted by the chaplain at the Erie VA Medical Center, inviting Catholic clergy and lay leaders to attend a virtual seminar on moral injury and suicide on May 12 from 10 a.m. to noon. Please see the attached flier for complete details.
International Catholic Stewardship Council newsletter
The Catholic Foundation is happy to share the attached May edition of the International Catholic Stewardship Council newsletter. Pastors and parish staff are encouraged to read and share this publication with their parishioners, using all or parts of it for their parish bulletin, with credit to the author/source.
High school students invited to sign up for Kentucky Mission trip
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the diocesan Kentucky Mission trip. All high school students from throughout the Diocese of Erie are invited to register now for the trip, scheduled for June 11-17. If interested, email Father Mike DeMartinis at mike.demartinis@prep-villa.com.

Take Back the Site vigil scheduled Tuesday
A Take Back the Site prayer vigil will be held May 3 at 5:15 p.m. to reclaim for non-violence the site of the recent murder of Antonio “Espn” Romellz Yarger Jr. The service will be held in the 2100 block of Downing Avenue at the corner of Fairmount Parkway in Erie. The Sisters of Mercy and their associates, the Benedictine Sisters of Erie and their oblates, and the Sisters of St. Joseph, their agrégées and associates sponsor Take Back the Site vigils.
Spaghetti dinner planned at Erie parish
The Altar Society at Sacred Heart Parish in Erie is hosting its 69th annual spaghetti dinner on May 22 from noon to 5 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church auditorium, 816 W. 25th St. Drive-through only. The cost for dinner is $13, and a quart of meatballs and sauce is $8. Take a chance on four theme baskets, valued at $250 each, and a 50/50 raffle.
McKean parish to host Padre Pio relics
St. Francis Xavier Parish in McKean is hosting relics of St. Padre Pio for four days at the end of May. See the attached flier for details.
Business manager needed at Clarion parish
Immaculate Conception Parish in Clarion is seeking a full-time business manager. Responsibilities include payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, human resources, budgeting and financial reporting. Occasional evening and weekend work may be necessary. Parish administrative assistant needed at St. Jude
St. Jude the Apostle Parish in Erie is seeking an administrative assistant. Hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The successful candidate must be a multi-tasker and have exceptional customer service and organizational skills, computer knowledge, the ability to work independently and in a team environment. The job description includes answering phones, greeting guests, sacramental documentation, publishing the weekly bulletin, preparing for weekend Masses and ministry schedules, scheduling Mass intentions, and funeral Mass and program arrangements.
