Summary: The Senior Spirituality Day and Training is a one-day senior spirituality conference which focuses on topics of special interest to seniors. The day is fashioned after a typical conference to grow the spiritual lives of seniors with guest speakers and sessions that allow seniors to be trained to feed back into their parish life and spirituality.
Talk topics can be based off of the programs of “Dr. Richard Johnson, an accomplished Spiritual Gerontologist and Psychologist of the Johnson Institute, which are available on CDs. They expand seniors’ spiritual enrichment invite us to share within their parishes. They are encouraged to inspire others by selecting a course specifically geared to the interests of Seniors. Training is offered in “The 12 Keys of Ageless Living;” “The Spirituality of Retirement;” or “Well of Body, Wise of Mind, Whole of Spirit.” Each course has a corresponding book for use in a study group, book club, lecture or power point course.” For more information, visit his webpage at The Johnson Institute.
