Lenten Social Media Campaign: "Sharing My Faith This Lent"
Instead of giving up social media for Lent, this campaign encourages Catholics to actively share their faith, inviting friends and followers to journey with them. However, in this Jubilee Year, one can also receive an indulgence by taking a break from social media. This can be for 24 hours, two days or even a full week—while still remaining committed to evangelizing and sharing your faith with others. Visit our “Lent in the Holy Year” page for more details.
Below, you’ll find a weekly social media post to engage your friends. Each week includes a graphic—simply right-click and save it. There is also a suggested caption to accompany the graphic—feel free to personalize it and use the "engagement prompt" to share your faith throughout these 40 days!
Kickoff Post – week before Ash Wednesday

Post:
This year for Lent, instead of taking a break from social media, I am committing to sharing my faith through my pages. This is an opportunity for me to grow closer to Christ while also sharing the Good News with my friends and family. I invite you to join me on this journey!
Interact with me, pray with me, ask me questions and let's make this Lent meaningful together. How can I pray for you today? Drop your intentions in the comments or send me a message! #LentenJourney #FaithInAction
Weekly Themes & Engagement Prompts
Week 1: Entering the Desert (March 5-9)

POST:
This week, we enter the desert. Just as Jesus spent 40 days in the wilderness, we are called to step away from distractions and focus on him. Lent is an opportunity to reflect, to repent and to prepare our hearts for what is to come.
During this Lenten journey together, I invite you to embrace this time of spiritual renewal. What are you committing to this Lent—prayer, fasting giving? Let’s walk this path together. Share your Lenten commitment below!
Engagement Prompt: Comment your Lenten commitment & tag a friend to join you on this journey!
Week 2: Prayer (March 10-16)

Post:
This week, we turn our focus to prayer. Prayer is more than words—it’s a conversation with God, a way to deepen our relationship with him. Whether in silence, scripture or worship, prayer transforms us.
During this Lenten journey together, I invite you to set aside time each day to pray intentionally. What prayer brings you the most peace? Let’s share and inspire one another in the comments!
Engagement Prompt: Drop your favorite prayer below or comment ‘AMEN’ if you’re committing to daily prayer this week!
Week 3: Fasting with Purpose (March 17-23)

Post:
This week, we reflect on fasting. Fasting is not just about giving up something—it’s about creating space for God. When we let go of worldly comforts, we make more room for him in our hearts.
During this Lenten journey together, I invite you to fast with intention. Whether it's from food, social media or distractions, let’s use this sacrifice to grow in faith. What are you fasting from this Lent, and how is it helping you spiritually?
Engagement Prompt: Comment how your fasting is drawing you closer to God!
Week 4: Giving (March 24-30)

Post:
This week, we focus on giving. Lent calls us to almsgiving—not just in money, but in time, kindness and love. Every act of generosity is a reflection of God’s love for us.
During this Lenten journey together, I invite you to find one way to give this week—help a neighbor, donate to a cause or simply offer a kind word. How will you be the hands and feet of Christ today?
Engagement Prompt: Tag a friend and challenge each other to do an act of kindness this week!
Week 5: Repentance & Forgiveness (March 31 - April 6)

Post:
This week, we reflect on repentance. God’s mercy is limitless, and he invites us to return to him with open hearts. Confession is not about guilt—it’s about grace and renewal.
During this Lenten journey together, I invite you to embrace God’s mercy. Take time to reflect on areas where you need his healing, and don’t be afraid to seek the Sacrament of Reconciliation. How has God's forgiveness changed your life?
Engagement Prompt: Comment ‘MERCY’ if you are grateful for God’s grace in your life!
Week 6: Walking with Christ (April 7-13 - Holy Week)

Post:
This week, we walk with Christ. As we approach Good Friday, we remember the sacrifice he made for us. His suffering was not in vain—it was love poured out for our salvation.
During this Lenten journey together, I invite you to walk closely with Christ. Reflect on his passion and consider: What part of his journey speaks to your heart the most?"
Engagement Prompt: Share what part of Christ’s Passion impacts you most & let’s pray for each other!
Week 7: Reflecting on the Journey & Rejoicing in the Resurrection (April 14-17 - Easter Week!)

Post:
Today is the last day of our Lenten journey. For the past 40 days, we have walked together through prayer, fasting and giving. Now, we rejoice in the Resurrection! But the journey doesn’t end here—our faith calls us to live out what we have learned beyond Lent.
During this Lenten journey together, I invite you to reflect:
What has this Lenten season taught you?
Have you deepened your faith?
Will you continue to walk with Christ beyond Easter?
Let’s commit to keeping the spirit of Lent alive in our daily lives. Will you join me?"*
