Renowned concert organist Nathan Laube delivered a masterful performance, showcasing the full range and power of both instruments. His virtuosic playing, expressive interpretations and seamless transitions between the organs highlighted their remarkable tonal beauty and craftsmanship. The audience was captivated by a program that spanned centuries, from the grandeur of Widor’s Symphonie pour Grand Orgue to the meditative depth of Liszt’s Funérailles and the intricate brilliance of Duruflé’s Suite pour Orgue.

As the final notes of Duruflé’s Toccata resounded through the cathedral, the audience responded with enthusiastic applause, honoring both the artistry of Laube and the extraordinary restoration and installation of the Casavant instruments. Many in attendance expressed their awe at how the organs enriched the liturgical and musical life of the cathedral, deepening the worship experience and strengthening the sacred tradition of organ music.

This dedication concert marked not only the return of a cherished musical treasure but also the beginning of a new era for sacred music in the cathedral. The restored and newly installed Casavant organs will continue to inspire and uplift, serving as a testament to the power of music in faith and worship.
