United in Faith: Transforming Lives Through Prayer, Discipleship and Service with the CSA

IN PRAYER
Prayer is the heart of our relationship with God. From the innocent prayers of childhood to reflective conversations of adulthood, our lifelong journey of prayer evolves over time, yet remains the foundation of our faith.
For children, prayer begins with learning the basics — the Sign of the Cross, the “Our Father” and simple prayers before meals or bedtime. These early prayers teach trust in God, forming the first building blocks of a relationship with him.
In our Catholic schools, teachers integrate prayer into daily life, helping students embrace it as a natural, comforting practice. From creating prayer altars to coloring a picture of a beloved priest, we are blessed to provide teachers and faith leaders with tools to nurture one faith and one family.
In our diocese, we enrich our faith community at every stage — from welcoming infants in baptism and guiding young minds, to supporting vocations to the priesthood, strengthening commitments in confirmation, preparing couples in Pre Cana and deepening our spiritual growth with adult formation.
Throughout life, prayer remains constant, offering comfort and guidance and reminding us of our connection to God and to one another. Support for faith formation enables us to pass on the faith to future generations.
IN DISCIPLESHIP
In our shared journey of discipleship, we are called to spread the love of Christ. The Office of Communications plays a key role in fostering this unity by supporting the bishop’s mission to teach and foster unity across our 13 counties. Faith Magazine and other communication platforms help guide the diocese in deepening relationships with Christ and proclaiming the Gospel.Whether producing content for the magazine, supporting parishes and schools in their communications or responding to the bishop’s vision for our diocese, the Communications Office collaborates with diocesan ministries to ensure that the messages it shares inspire discipleship and reflect the teachings of the church with integrity, professionalism and transparency.
However, none of this work is possible without your support. Through the Catholic Services Appeal, you have the opportunity to contribute to the mission of communications. Your generosity helps us publish Faith magazine and support the communication needs of our diocesan family. Together, we can strengthen our community in discipleship, sharing the Good News and bringing more souls to Christ.
As one family, united in faith, we thank you for your commitment to this important mission. Your support makes a difference.
IN SERVICE
Catholic Charities Counseling and Adoption Services (CCCAS) is now reaching more people, providing free mental health and substance abuse counseling to individuals and families across the diocese's 13 counties.
The need for mental health services continues to grow, and CCCAS is rising to meet this demand. While the agency continues to offer in-person counseling at its primary location in Erie, it extends its services through telehealth. This innovative solution allows clients to access care from anywhere.
“Telehealth is transformative for our clients,” said a CCCAS counselor. “We reach people who wouldn’t otherwise get help.”
The power of this reach truly unites us as one faith and one family and can be seen in stories like that of one CCCAS client, who found renewed hope in her journey to sobriety.
“Sobriety has put me on another wavelength,” she reflected. “I’ve gone from merely existing to living. It’s amazing to see the blessings unfold when you do the next right thing every day.”
Your generosity to the CSA enables us to join together to fund the CCCAS, an agency of Catholic Charities. As demand grows, your support is crucial to help us continue our mission and ensure no one is turned away due to financial constraints.
